Velvet has always been regarded as a fabric of extreme luxury. Its existence dates back thousands of years, symbolising prestige, elegance and wealth in turn across many cultures. Made more accessible today thanks to new weaving methods, it remains a staple of high-end ready-to-wear, returning to the top of the trends year after year.
An Exceptional Weaving Process
Velvet is the fruit of a complex process: two layers are woven together, one on top of the other, and joined by a second warp thread. This pile warp is then cut with precision to separate the two layers, creating that deep, upright texture so characteristic of velvet.

Our creations are made from top-quality cotton velvet, also known as hammered velvet. This noble material is the centrepiece of several designs in our collection, such as the emblematic Mona coat.
This type of velvet has an irregular moiré appearance that gives each piece a unique definition and depth. The finish is achieved through a manufacturing process that applies strong pressure to flatten the pile. Often enriched with a touch of stretch, it offers modern comfort without sacrificing any of its architectural structure.
