A tribute to Madame Grès: a masterful celebration of exceptional craftsmanship and the passing on of skills.
As a member of the Paris Chamber of Commerce’s Fashion and Design Club, our founder had the privilege of being invited to the exhibition “Hommage à Madame Grès” at La Galerie du 19M. Created through a collaboration between designer Mossi and the Mo•MADe campus, this major event offers a fascinating immersion in haute couture.
The temporary haute couture atelier
An atelier for passing on skills

At the heart of the project is a temporary atelier where twenty students learned time-honoured haute couture techniques. Led by Mossi Traoré and the Mo-MADe campus, this laboratory promotes the exceptional skills essential to our industry’s future.
A tribute to Madame Grès
Marking thirty years since her death, the exhibition celebrates the great couturier’s mastery of pleating and her love of classical antiquity. The students’ creations are shown alongside original pieces lent by Olivier Châtenet and tributes by Yohji Yamamoto and Olivier Saillard.

Alongside this, La Galerie du 19M highlights a fusion of embroidery and weaving, artistic crafts in which Senegal excels. This immersive experience crosses places and periods, bringing traditional techniques together with contemporary creation.
