LATE-NIGHT EVENT 03: BASQUIAT X WARHOL
On Friday 2 June 2023, the Fondation Louis Vuitton hosted NOCTURNE 03 BASQUIAT X WARHOL, to which Maison Hind Kroussa Paris had the great privilege of being invited. Designed by Frank Gehry, this architectural gem provided an exceptional setting for an evening of boldness and artistic connection.
During the evening, we were captivated by the mesmerising performances of Mellina Boubetra and Evan Greenaway. This duo brings together hip-hop and contemporary dance in a unique way, seeking to push the boundaries of bodily expression.
The two artists drew on a powerful poem to bring their performance to life, seeking common ground between two hearts and two bodies:
Bodies that follow one another, that live, that love
that fall, take flight, vibrate and struggle.
Bending to the rules of the other’s body
Adapting, but without force, without impact
Except that of two hearts against one another
Two bodies seeking a common rhythm, hoping to stop together.
It would be beautiful.
Like hearts.”
The night ended on a festive note on the Foundation’s rooftop, with breathtaking views of Paris. This evening strengthened our commitment to artistic excellence, and we warmly thank the Fondation Louis Vuitton for this memorable invitation.
