Pendant, Y-shaped or twisted necklace: which should you choose?

Le collier Néfertari doré en Y, porté par une femme avec une veste blanche.

A pendant necklace, a Y-shaped necklace and a twisted chain draw different lines on an outfit. Start with what you want to highlight: colour, a vertical drop or the texture of the links. Hérès, Néfertari and Touya offer three options to compare with your own wardrobe.

Hérès: a pendant for a touch of colour

Hérès combines a fine oval-link chain in 18-carat gold-plated brass with a horizontal rectangular pendant adorned with nano emerald. The green colour and rectangular outline focus attention on one motif.

Try it with a plain top or inside an open shirt: the pendant should remain fully visible. With patterned clothing, look both close up and from a distance to see whether its shape still stands out.

Néfertari: a Y-shaped line to follow an opening

Made in 18-carat gold-plated brass, Néfertari has a fine chain punctuated by gold-tone beads in different sizes. Its Y-shaped design continues into a central drop.

With an open shirt or V-neck, check where the drop ends. It can sit on skin or fabric; avoid letting a collar edge partly hide it. With a round neckline, check that the Y junction and the edge of the garment remain distinct. These are fitting pointers, not fixed rules.

Touya: twisted links with texture

Touya intertwines 18-carat gold-plated brass and 925 sterling silver. Its rounded line has no pendant and highlights the chains’ texture and alternating gold and silver reflections.

If you wear both metal tones, it can bring them together. Begin with the necklace alone against a plain background, then compare it with your usual earrings. Decide whether you like the combination or prefer the links to take centre stage.

Three questions before buying

  • Which detail should catch the eye first: Hérès’s green rectangle, Néfertari’s descending line or Touya’s interwoven links?
  • Which top will you wear it with most often? Use that garment as your reference.
  • Do you have the measurements you need? Total length is not always enough: a Y necklace’s drop and a pendant’s dimensions also affect its presence.

A close-up shows detail but does not establish scale when worn. Check the other photographs and product information. Ask the Maison for missing measurements rather than guessing from the image.
